This play is based on the songs and music of Ram Katha from Ram Charit Manas, Late Shri Prem Matiani Ji and Kumaoni and Oriya folk songs and melodies. The drama portion of the play has been written by Sudhir Rikhari and Mohammad Faheem.

Historical and mythological perspectives change as society changes. Mahabharata’s character Ganga has always attracted people because of its special qualities. This play reinterprets the character of Ganga described in the Mahabharata and Puranas.
