From January 10 to 13, 2023, Mohan Rakesh Samman Samaroh was organized at Kamani Auditorium. Plays selected through the All India Mohan Rakesh Playwriting Competition are staged at the Mohan Rakesh Natya Samaroh. The following plays won the prize this year:

First Prize
Drama – Nishabd
Playwright – Rajesh Kumar
Director – Lokendra Trivedi

Second Prize
Drama – Dhanpati NawabSe Prem
Playwright – Shri Ram Sharma ‘Kapren’
Director – Surendra Sharma

Third Prize
Drama – MahasharmanChandragupta Maurya
Playwright – Dr.Pratibha Jain
Director – Bharti Sharma

Consolation prize
Drama – Ishq Samandar
Playwright -Dayanand Sharma
Director – Ayaz Khan

Dr. Monica Priyadarshini, Secretary of the Sahitya Kala Parishad, awarded prizes to winning playwrights on the inaugural day of the event.

The festival started with the play Dhanpati Nawab Se Prem written by Ram Sharma Kapren and directed by Surendra Sharma. In the next three days Dr. Pratibha Jain’s Mahasharman Chandragupta Maurya directed by Bharti Sharma, Dayanand Sharma’s Ishq Samandar directed by Ejaz Khan and Rajesh Kumar’s play Nishabd directed by Lokendra Trivedi were performed.
