The three-day Bhakti Sangeet Utsav 2026, organized by the Sahitya Kala Parishad, was inaugurated at Central Park by Delhi’s Minister of Arts, Culture, and Languages, Shri Kapil Mishra on the evening of 13th March, 2026, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The inauguration ceremony began with the traditional lighting of the lamp. Addressing the gathering, he emphasized that devotional music is not merely an art of singing, but a sacred bridge that connects the human soul with the divine. He further highlighted that this festival aims to reconnect the youth of the capital with the rich roots of Indian traditions and cultural heritage.

The opening evening witnessed a spiritually uplifting atmosphere as renowned singer Anuradha Paudwal captivated the audience with her melodious bhajans, filling Central Park with devotion.

Padma Shri awardee Bheru Singh Chauhan and his group presented soulful Nirgun Kabir renditions, including the iconic composition “Mo Ko Kahan Dhoonde Re Bande.” The evening concluded with a classic performance by the Agnihotri Bandhu, who presented traditional compositions along with Kabir’s philosophical verses, leaving the audience deeply immersed in spirituality.

The second day of the festival began with an evocative performance by renowned vocalist Sujit Ojha. He opened with the Shiva Panchakshara Stotra, composed by Adi Shankaracharya, followed by devotional compositions of Tulsidas and Meerabai, including the popular “Mane Chakar Rakho Ji.” He concluded with Kabir’s profound bhajan “Humka Odhave Chadariya,” inspiring the audience towards introspection and spiritual reflection.

Following this, Swati Mishra enthralled the audience with her soulful voice. Her renditions of popular bhajans like “Ram Aayenge,” “Jai Ganesh Deva,” and “Mera Aapki Kripa Se” created a vibrant atmosphere, with the audience clapping and swaying along.

Sawai Bhatt further energized the evening with his dynamic and engaging performance of widely loved devotional numbers.

The Bhakti Sangeet Utsav 2026 concluded on Sunday evening with an overwhelming response from devotees and music lovers. The final day saw captivating performances by renowned singers Anshu Thapaliyal, Dhananjay Hegde and Nitin Kumar, who mesmerized the audience with their soulful renditions. The festival concluded on a high note, leaving the audience spiritually enriched and reinforcing the timeless relevance of devotional music in connecting individuals with their cultural and spiritual roots.
