‘Natkhat Utsav’ started on 23rd June 2025 at New Delhi’s All India Fine Arts and Crafts Society (AIFACS) at Rafi Marg. The festival marks the culmination of Summer Workshops held in 44 Delhi Government schools and showcased the artistic achievements of over 2,000 participating students/children. The workshops, conducted by the Sahitya Kala Parishad in collaboration with the Directorate of Education and the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC), provided specialised training in music, dance, theatre, and fine arts at 44 centres. Under expert mentorship, students honed their skills and expressed themselves through a wide array of artistic mediums.
With ‘Natkhat Utsav’ Delhi is brimming with the colourful imaginations, energy, and creativity of children. These cultural activities not only inspire confidence but also help channel their potential in meaningful ways. It has been noted that this festival had become a vibrant platform to nurture and celebrate the creative voices of the city’s youth.
The event features a special art exhibition, open to the public from June 24 to 26, between 11 AM and 7 PM, displaying over 550 student submissions in painting, crafts, and mixed media. A photographic exhibition, documents moments from the Summer Workshops, offering insights into the creative process shared between students and their mentors. A commemorative souvenir celebrating the 2025 edition of the festival was also released. This festival is a journey of discovery, joy, and emphasised its role in encouraging expression and collective creativity.
Alongside the exhibition, selected student performances in classical and contemporary dance, music, and theatre was presented, highlighting India’s artistic heritage and cultural diversity through the lens of young artists.
Now, Natkhat Utsav continues to evolve as a dynamic cultural forum, affirming the Delhi Government’s commitment to holistic education and creative empowerment.
