About

To encourage, promote and mentor young talent, a street theatre fellowship has been initiated by the Dept. of Art, Culture and Languages, Govt. of NCT of Delhi.

The fellowship will engage young theatre artists to create a taste and appreciation for performing arts as a powerful medium of expression and awareness among the people of Delhi.

The fellowship is ideal for young artists passionate about bringing forth social issues among communities and the public through street theatre.

Roles
  1. Theatre fellows – 700 vacancies
    Applicants can apply for one of the following roles –
    1. Actor
    2. Singer
    3. Musician
    4. Scriptwriter

  2. Project Management fellows – 4 vacancies
Responsibilities
  1. Theater Fellows –
    • Fellows will be assigned into teams of 10 artists each and perform at designated locations across Delhi at the given date and time.
    • Each team will be required to perform at least 4 times a month.
    • Themes and prompts for performances will be given in advance.

  2. Project Management fellows –
    • To ensure smooth implementation and monitoring of the fellowship.
    • On-ground monitoring and evaluation of the performances by the teams of Theater fellows across Delhi.
    • Create content for various social media platforms to increase the reach of the scheme among youth.
    • This is a full time roles and requires the fellows to be in Delhi.
Remuneration
  1. Theatre fellows – Rs. 6000/- per month
  2. Project Management fellows – Rs. 30,000/- per month

Eligibility
  1. Theater Fellows –
    1. Minimum education – Senior Secondary (12th pass)
    2. Age (as on 1st January 2023) :18 – 35 years
    3. Candidates with 1 or more years of experience in theatre, nukkadnatak, acting and/or music will be given preference
  2. Project Management unit –
    1. Graduate in any field with min. 55% marks
    2. Prior experience in project management and leading large teams is anĀ  added bonus
